Besides being known for an overall captivating performing presence, the music of Sandman Sleeps (name derived from 90’s creepy/quirky cartoon Courage the Cowardly Dog) has been described as song-based and cerebral with a melancholia charge. 

The band first came to fruition in Nashville, TN (2009) propelled by sisters – Cristina (vocals, guitar) and Alex Peck (bass) then to be set aside until the siblings reconvened nearly a decade later, joined by member Zack Jones (guitar, vocals).  Facing a large catalog of songs written throughout the years, the narrowed down version became the content of their debut album ‘Crisis Actor’ (2021) released as a four piece with previous member, Karsten Andersen (drums).  By the end of 2023, Joey Mason (drums) joined Sandman and currently the band is recording their second album inspired by the Strawberry Moon of June 2022.
