John Borra & Lorraine Leckie have shared numerous stages in New York and Ontario and now
look forward to bringing their show to Pennsylvania and Ohio this July 2026. The are both
seasoned performers and both have their own disAncAve style and sound but when paired on
the same bill it makes for a show that is greater than the sum of its parts.
John Borra is a respected figure in Toronto’s music scene, blending punk’s raw energy with the
storytelling tradiAons of folk, country, and Americana. From his early days in the 1980s
underground scene to his solo career, Borra has built a reputaAon for authenAcity and passion,
earning criAcal acclaim with albums like Blue Wine and Casse,es In Common. His latest project,
Last Dance at the E Room, is a deeply personal tribute to his late mentor, Peter J. Moore, and the
creaAve space that played a pivotal role in his musical journey.
Lorraine Leckie is a Singer-songwriter and poet who was born on a horse in Northern Ontario
and raised on Neil Young’s music. In the ’70s, she embraced punk, married Steve Leckie of the
Viletones and became a makeup artist. Leckie worked in the fashion industry and with
celebrities such as Paul McCartney and Heidi Klum. After a decade in Europe, she settled in New
York. At 37, she picked up a guitar and began performing at venues like Bowery Ballroom and
Mercury Lounge. She’s often joined by her band: Hugh Pool, Pavel Cingl, Keith Robinson,
Charles DeChants and Zoe Friedman. Lorraine currently lives in Greenpoint Brooklyn with her
husband, Billy Leroy and a diabolical Irish terrier called Broghan. Her latest record is Goddamn
Outer Space.
