Jumprope is a garage pop band consisting of Taylor Gibson, Nolan Kerbert, and Chris Dunaway. The band began as front porch jams between Taylor and Chris in 2019. During the pandemic, they added Nolan into the mix on drums. The trio spent over a year and a half rehearsing at their practice space before crawling out to begin playing shows in September of 2022. Earlier that year, Jumprope began tracking on their debut EP with Caleb Lowery. Then, working with Jaykub Rodriguez at King Bunny Studio the group finished recording, mixing, and mastering the EP. In January 2023, Jumprope played in Galveston, Corpus Christi, Alamo (RGV), Austin, and San Antonio Texas. Their eleventh show was recently held at Equal Parts Brewery in Houston for the release of their new EP, “Hope the Neighbors Like Jumprope”.
