Comicsburgh presents ‘The Theme of Thieves’ comic book release party. Come join us as we celebrate the release of creator DP Brown’s ‘The Theme of Thieves’ issue #1 hitting the shelves of comic shops nationwide! The event takes place at Pittsburgh’s brand-new Poetry Lounge in the lovely neighborhood of Millvale.

This evening will feature live performances by three bands whose front women are also supervillainesses in the Pittsburgh-based live action video series and comic book, Heroineburgh. Thrill to Murder for Girls starring Stephanie as Dysphoria! Chill to Working Breed featuring Erika as Dark Spectra! And spill to Jessica Bella Band, fronted by Jess B as Serpenta!

The event will also feature members of the Comicsburgh collective: ‘The Edge’ creator Marvin Wynn, ‘Beowulf’ and ‘Memoirs of the Morbid’ creator Grant Lankard, and Heroineburgh Comics.

Live band, food, drinks, and Comicsburgh swag, celebrating the culture of comics and the future of independent comic book creators in the city of Pittsburgh. And don’t forget to get your photo taken in the bathrooms!
